Skate Humboldt’s Skating Programs!

CanSkate: Skate Canada’s “Learn to Skate” Program. A fun-filled program where skaters progress while coaches address individual needs of all ages from pre-school to adults. You may choose once or twice a week for lessons.

CanPowerSkate: This is an action-packed, high energy instructional power skating program geared to hockey and ringette skaters that focuses on balance, power, agility, speed and endurance. Skills, techniques and conditioning drills are taught in a progressive format that emphasizes how the skills apply to game situations. CanPowerSkate provides an alternative to figure skating and is an excellent complement for those athletes playing on hockey or ringette teams. Its unique skill award program provides incentives and motivation for skaters to continue to achieve.

STARSkate: This program offers opportunities for skaters to develop skating skills in four different areas with the option of taking Skate Canada Tests while earning awards and incentives. Figure skating skills will be taught in private, semi-private or small group lessons in the following areas: Interpretive; Dance; Free Skate; and Skating Skills. There is also a regional competition held during the year that skaters can attend.
